The Story of Delivering a FARMING BOY (SM3SD) to Become the Reliable Two Feet of an Elderly Resident in Naju, South Jeolla
Hello, this is Lohwell SM.
These days, as cool breezes begin to blow and busy hands prepare for the harvest in every field,
today we visited the home of an elderly resident in Naju, South Jeolla, where warm stone walls and neatly arranged jars created a welcoming scene.
Her family told us that she had always struggled to move heavy loads by handcart when working in the fields or traveling to and from the village hall.
Together with her family, we were on our way to deliver a reliable agricultural electric vehicle, FARMING BOY (SM3SD), to her.
With the feeling that we were giving a gift to our own parents, we carefully checked every bolt and even the tyre pressure before setting off.
With excited hearts, we headed for Naju.
1. A Warm Welcome and Safe Unloading
When we arrived along the village road in front of the elderly couple’s yard, the mother and father welcomed us warmly.
We safely unloaded the vividly blue FARMING BOY (SM3SD) from the truck and parked it in the middle of the yard.
As the mother came closer, she said,
The colour is so lovely, and it looks really sturdy.
She kept gently running her hands over it.
The father, who had been watching from a wooden platform at the side of the yard, looked at the spacious cargo bed and roof (canopy) and was delighted, saying that getting to the fields would now be much easier whether it rained or the sun shone brightly.
2. Step-by-Step One-on-One Operating Instructions at the Seniors’ Level
When delivering electric vehicles to elderly customers, the process we consider most important is safety training.
No matter how good a vehicle is, it must become familiar to the driver’s hands before it can be used safely.
After helping the mother sit comfortably in the driver’s seat,
we began practising the basic operations one by one, step by step.
Mother, please start the vehicle first, and before setting off, release the brake with one click.
We clearly explained how to switch between forward and reverse, as well as how to gently pull the handle to control the speed.
In particular, when you have finished driving and come to a stop,
when you stop, be sure to lock the brake and turn the key all the way before removing it,
we repeatedly reminded her, and continued practising in the yard until the controls felt completely familiar.
3. The First Test Drive in the Yard and the Family’s Reassuring Smiles
After learning the basic controls, she continued practising forward and reverse driving in the spacious yard.
Although she initially gripped the steering wheel tightly, perhaps because she was a little nervous, she quickly got the hang of it after trying straight driving and turning a few times.
Please turn the steering wheel this way~
Following the instructions, her father also stood beside her,
gently encouraging her by saying, “Straight, straight~” It was a heartwarming sight.
As we watched her reverse the vehicle straight back with the reversing alert sound and come to a gentle stop in the desired spot,
we applauded and said, “Very good, ma'am!” A bright smile finally spread across her face.
Her father, who had been watching from the pavilion, also looked visibly relieved as he watched her drive skillfully.
4. Key Features of the FARMING BOY (SM3SD) for the Senior Residents of Naju
The FARMING BOY (SM3SD) delivered to the senior residents' home in Naju is equipped with a range of practical features essential for driving on country roads and transporting loads for farm work.
- Canopy and Front Windshield to Block Sunlight, Rain and Wind:
To help seniors who spend a lot of time outdoors travel comfortably even in bad weather, it comes equipped as standard with a sturdy roof, front windshield, wiper and roof-mounted warning light.
- Easy Charging from a 220V Household Outlet:
With no need for separate installation work, simply plug it into a standard 220V outlet in your yard or shed for convenient and economical charging.
- Versatile Open-and-Close Cargo Bed and Stable Four-Wheel Tires:
It can carry plenty of bags of fertiliser and crops, making it a dependable transport vehicle for farm work. Its four-wheel tires also provide stable support on unpaved country roads and bumpy farm tracks.
Although our time together was short, we thanked her for working hard and following along before bringing the visit to a close.
To the senior residents of Naju, we hope you can always travel safely and in good health with your FARMING BOY, whether you are heading to the fields or going out for a trip.
If anything feels inconvenient or you have any questions while using it, we will come running whenever you need us, as if visiting our own parents.
