[Hampyeong County, South Jeolla] A Heartwarming Gift for Parents! The Delivery Story of the Papa 4 (PAPA4) Four-Wheel Electric Farm Vehicle

In a season when golden fields and clear skies warmly welcome us,
we visited the home of an elderly couple in the lovely area of Hampyeong County, South Jeolla.
During farming season, parents have no rest for their knees and backs as they carry heavy loads and travel along field paths and uphill and downhill roads. Their children living away from home
only hope that their parents
will not get hurt and
can work a little more comfortably
.
With the same care a child would have for their own parents,
we at Lohwell SM drove to Hampyeong, determined to deliver a vehicle filled with heartfelt dedication.
1. An Exciting Arrival and Safe Unloading: Seeing the Vehicle for the First Time
The cargo truck arrived in front of the Hampyeong residents’ yard right on schedule.
After driving through the alley and parking, we carefully released the securing devices on the cargo bed and gently lowered the vehicle onto the ground using the lift.
As soon as the elderly resident saw the yellow Papa 4 (PAPA4) slowly coming down from the truck, they hurried out into the yard.
The colour is beautiful, and it has such a sturdy, well-designed look! It will feel very dependable when going to and from the fields.
As they stroked the vehicle body, a bright smile spread across their face,
and the fatigue from the long journey faded away.
2. One-on-One Operation Guidance at Their Pace
Because operating machinery may feel unfamiliar and intimidating,
we continued explaining each function step by step until the vehicle felt completely natural in their hands.
- Intuitive control levers and buttons: We clearly pointed out the locations of the forward and reverse switches and explained how to read the instrument panel.
- Starting and stopping: We practised how to gently operate the accelerator and how to brake using both hand brakes.
- Ensuring safety when reversing: Along with the safety alert that sounds when reversing, we repeatedly explained how to check behind the vehicle using the side mirrors.
At their own pace, we calmly helped them practise everything from starting the vehicle to stopping, repeating the process three or four times.
They quickly became familiar with it and
nodded, saying that it was
easier to handle and
more convenient to operate
than expected
.
3. A Real Test Drive on the Village Roads and On-Site Reactions
After learning the basic controls in the yard, we headed out to the village roads they would actually use and a gently sloping road for a practical test drive.
You drove smoothly along the village road, navigated the corners, and safely came to a stop on the downhill section while checking the brake feel as instructed.
Thanks to the stable balance unique to the four-wheel design and the tires with excellent traction, you were able to drive comfortably without swaying, even on unpaved sections and slopes.
The elderly driver's skills also quickly improved as they stopped at a wide three-way intersection and turned the vehicle around by reversing.
The neighbouring residents and family members watching from the side also applauded with relief and delight.

After completing the entire test drive and guidance session, we parked the vehicle in the yard and began to leave,
feeling deeply moved as you repeatedly waved and thanked us.
