[Jangseong, South Jeolla] Papa (PAPA) Delivery: Becoming the Feet of an Elderly Resident
We found a village road in Naju, South Jeolla.
Whenever we meet the generation of our parents, who have spent their lives cultivating the soil, we want to make their daily lives even a little easier.
This time, we delivered a Papa (PAPA) agricultural electric utility vehicle to the home of an elderly resident in Naju, South Jeolla.

1. Arrival at the Naju Site and Unloading
After passing along the village road, the lorry arrived in the yard of the elderly resident's home.
When the red Papa (PAPA) was unloaded, the elderly resident came out into the yard to greet us warmly.
Oh my, has this come to our home?
The colour is lovely, and it looks very sturdy!
As the elderly resident happily touched the sturdy body, the canopy that provides shade from the sun,
and even the cargo bed at the rear, we felt it had been worthwhile to come all the way to Naju.
2. One-to-One Operating Guidance at the User's Pace
Anyone can feel unfamiliar and nervous when encountering a new machine for the first time.
I'm old and don't know much,
how do I drive this?
We patiently explained how to operate it.

- Starting the Vehicle and Checking the Instrument Panel:
We first learned the basic operation of turning the key to switch the power on and off.
- Operating the Throttle and Brakes:
Ma'am, rest your hand lightly on the brake lever. Instead of gripping it tightly, gently squeeze and release it to stop smoothly.
- Driving Position:
We showed her how to sit comfortably in the centre of the seat so she would not veer to one side while driving.
The elderly resident
I understand now. It feels just right in my hands!
We stayed beside her and practised repeatedly until she said this.
3. Test Drive Along the Village Road
After completing the basic operations in the yard, we set out for a test drive along the village road and gentle hills that the elderly resident often travels.
She was a little nervous at first, but
we guided her, saying, "Slow down and take it slowly. You're doing well,"
and she soon drove at a steady speed.
The elderly resident was also pleased with the motor's powerful performance as it climbed the gentle slope,
and the neighbours watching from the roadside added their comments:
It runs quietly but has plenty of power.
they each remarked.
The elderly resident's bright smile after completing the drive made the atmosphere at the delivery site even warmer.
