[Jangheung, South Jeolla] A Heartwarming Story of Delivering a Denggi Boy Electric Vehicle as a Thoughtful Gift to Serve as Parents’ Dependable Second Pair of Legs in the Countryside
We visited a quiet village in Jangheung County, South Jeolla.
Whenever we hear that the knees and back of parents who have spent their entire lives tirelessly supporting their children are no longer what they used to be,
we cannot help but feel concerned.
At this Jangheung customer’s home, too, a child expressed their heartfelt care by arranging the vehicle for their mother, who was finding it difficult to walk long distances.
We arrived in the yard with the safe means of transportation, the four-wheeled Denggi Boy electric vehicle.

A wine-red Denggi Boy arriving in the yard
We lowered the cargo truck lift and carefully placed the wine-red Denggi Boy in the yard.
The father, standing to one side of the yard with a cane, and the mother, wearing a beautiful floral outfit, warmly welcomed us.
What a sturdy and well-built vehicle!
They said this as they slowly looked over every part of the vehicle,
and seeing the mother’s excited expression made the long trip to Jangheung feel truly worthwhile.
One-on-one operating instructions tailored to seniors
We patiently explained everything beside the mother, who was unfamiliar with operating machinery.
We covered everything from turning the key to start the vehicle and setting the low-speed mode to match her walking pace, to pulling the handle to
move forward and releasing it to stop immediately with the electronic brake,
as well as plugging the adapter into a standard 220V outlet for easy charging in the yard at home.
Ma’am, there is no need to rush.
Let’s practise together
slowly until it feels familiar.
We repeatedly practised moving forward, reversing, and changing direction together,
and her initially tense fingertips soon became steady.

A yard test drive and the family’s relieved smiles
After learning how to operate it, the mother took the steering wheel herself and drove one lap around the yard.
The wide front canopy windshield provided an open view, allowing her to drive steadily around the yard and along the paths through the vegetable garden.
The father, who had been quietly watching with his cane, finally gave a pleased smile when he saw her driving comfortably.
Both parents were delighted that they would no longer have to walk painfully to the village hall or vegetable garden.
