[Yeonggwang, South Jeolla] Denggi Boy and Farming Bao: Reliable Support for the Elderly We Met at the Yeonggwang Bulgapsan Red Spider Lily Festival

We visited Bulgapsan Provincial Park in Yeonggwang, South Jeolla, where the red spider lilies created a spectacular sight.

At the festival, where a gentle autumn breeze was blowing, elderly visitors and families continued to make their way along the flower paths.

Although the colourful scenery was beautiful, the walking paths were not always easy for elderly people with aching or uncomfortable knees and backs.

Our parents must also have very sore legs when they go out around the village or travel to and from the fields…

With the feelings of children thinking this way, we met and warmly greeted elderly visitors at the e-mobility promotional booth at the Yeonggwang Bulgapsan Red Spider Lily Festival

Warm Interest We Encountered at One Corner of the Festival Grounds

We set up our promotional booth near the Red Spider Lily Festival grounds in front of Bulgapsa Temple’s Iljumun Gate, featuring the Denggi Boy E20 electric vehicle for parents and the high-power agricultural power carrier Farming Bao 2.0W.

Elderly visitors from Yeonggwang and nearby areas stopped to look around before we even spoke to them.

It has a roof, so
we won’t get caught in the rain or wind?
It would be perfect for riding to the rural market on market day!

They sat directly in the driver’s seat, tried holding the steering wheel, and smiled brightly.

Step-by-Step Guidance at the Elderly Visitors’ Level

If the controls are complicated, it is difficult for elderly people to use the vehicle.
That is why we slowly explained everything beside them until they became completely familiar with the controls.

- Intuitive controls:

Without complicated gear operation, anyone can use it easily with the forward/reverse switch and speed control lever.

- Demonstrations at their level:

From how to read the instrument panel to how to press the brake, we demonstrated everything repeatedly, telling them they did not need to memorise it all at once.

After listening to the explanation, one elderly visitor said,

With such a friendly and
kind young person explaining it,
it’s not difficult at all

and thanked us.

Test Drives and the Reassured Faces of Family Members

We watched together as visitors slowly took test drives along the festival walking paths and paved roads.

When the vehicles moved smoothly without jolting over uneven paving blocks and sloped paths,
the elderly visitors who tried them and their accompanying children both nodded in approval.

One son who had come with his parent said,

I was always worried because my mother had to travel beside the road when going out around our rural home,
but I’m relieved because the visibility is clear and it even has a sturdy canopy.
