[Damyang, South Jeolla] Farming Bao Takes on Steep Farm Roads with Ease! A Story of Becoming Parents’ Reliable Support on Two Wheels
We visited Damyang, South Jeolla, where lush bamboo and clear air warmly welcomed us.
The uphill paths to our fields are quite steep. Can an electric vehicle really deliver enough power?
To answer the concerns of the farming couple, we visited the steep farm roads of Damyang with the same care we would show our own parents.
A Welcoming First Meeting at the Steep Country Road
A cargo truck came to a stop beside the open country road,
and we safely unloaded Farming Bao.
As soon as they saw the vehicle,
The vehicle looks sturdier and more dependable than I expected,
they said, welcoming us warmly.
They told us they had always been concerned about having to travel up and down narrow, sloping roads in this farming region, so we demonstrated its driving performance on site.
Step-by-Step, One-on-One Operating Instructions at Their Level
Even a practical electric farm vehicle will not be used if it is difficult to operate.
We explained everything step by step from beside the driver’s seat so they could drive without the slightest anxiety.
- How to turn on the power and switch between the forward and reverse levers
- How to smoothly operate the accelerator and brake
- How to use the safety parking brake to prevent the vehicle from rolling backward when stopped on a slope
We guided them through the process several times until the controls felt completely familiar,
and because the dashboard layout was intuitive, they soon said,
It’s really easy to drive!
They said with a relaxed smile.
Steep Farm Road Climbing Test: Up Without Hesitation
We began a full climbing drive on a steep slope with a rough concrete surface.
With harvest boxes loaded in the rear cargo bed, we set off toward the high hill. Farming Bao climbed the slope steadily and powerfully, without jolting or sliding backward.
The wide tires gripped the farm road, a mixture of dirt and gravel, firmly and provided stable, shake-free driving.
After watching it climb easily to the top of the hill, they said with a bright smile,
If it can climb a slope this steep so effortlessly, I won’t have to carry heavy things around anymore,
they said repeatedly, clearly satisfied.
The family members watching nearby also felt relieved, saying they no longer had to worry as much about farming on the sloping roads.
